LOS ANGELES — Spring has arrived, and it’s also my birthday on March 19th! So, Happy Birthday to me! Life feels good, and I’m so excited for new beginnings!!!

If you pay attention, spring is filled with change but also opportunities to learn and grow. With that in mind, I’m thrilled to share ways to embrace spring, the season where everything blossoms with warmth and new beginnings!
In my opinion, March has always carried a special energy. Not solely because it’s my birthday month, but due to its vibrancy and the mark of a new season — a time to reflect, clear out old things/people, and make room for newness (if you choose to embrace it). So indulge in the things that bring you joy and fulfillment! Whether it’s taking a refreshing swim, shopping for new dresses, or writing a blog just as I’m doing right now, simply because it feels good.
Here are 5 Tips for a Refreshing Spring:
1. New Scents

As spring blooms around us, it’s time to refresh our surroundings and invigorate our spirits. While we all have our favorite scents, studies suggest that trying something new at the onset of the season can infuse us with renewed energy and uplift our moods. Whether it’s a new fragrance, house spray for the bathroom, or an air refresher for your car, the possibilities are endless. Bath & Body Works or Target are great places to explore trendy scents.
2. New Music

Music can make you feel good! ‘Music offers a resource for emotion regulation,’ says Shahram Heshmat, Ph.D., in a blog post on Psychology Today. Try listening to new artists and genres; uplifting sounds are so refreshing for the soul.

4. Spring Cleaning

There’s a unique satisfaction that comes from maintaining a clean and clutter-free space. Letting go of unnecessary belongings allows us to create space for new experiences and opportunities. Often, we cling to things and relationships that no longer serve us—outgrown friendships, past romantic partners, and items we’ve long forgotten. Take a moment to assess your surroundings, from your desk to your bedroom, kitchen, and closet, and clear out the clutter. Out with the old, and in with the new! By decluttering and simplifying our lives, we can cultivate a sense of lightness and clarity.
5. Gratitude (Most Significant)

With a freshly scented home and a decluttered space, it’s time to pause and express gratitude for the blessings in our lives. One key to cultivating gratitude is truly appreciating every single thing we have, even the seemingly mundane. From the convenience of running water and a comforting hot shower to well-fitted clothes, shoes, a cozy bed, entertainment like Netflix, nourishing food, snacks, and, of course, WIFI.
Through this practice, not only do you uplift your own spirits but also those around you. What’s even more significant is that as you start to appreciate the things around you, they begin to appear better, prettier, and brighter. Why? Because you see them and acknowledge all that is present.
